Salvation

Some sins seem bigger than others because their obvious consequences are much more serious. Murder for example, seems to be worse than hatred, and adultery seems worse than pride. But this does not mean that because we only commit “little sins” that we deserve eternal life.

All sins make us sinners and all sins cut us off from our Holy God. This is something that we all have in common. We all have missed the mark. We’ve all done things that separate us from God. In Romans 3:23 (NLT*) “For everyone has sinned, we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Can you see that this fact is true? All sins, no matter how big or small, lead to death, (separation from God)

Yet there is "Good News." God still wants you to be a part of His family, to live with Him for ever. There is a way for you to be declared "Not guilty" and that’s by trusting His Son (Jesus Christ) to take away your sins. Trusting means putting our confidence in Christ to forgive our sins and once again make us right with God. God’s solution is available to all of us, regardless of our background or past behavior.

John 3:16 (Msg*) "This is how much God loved the world (that’s us); He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why; so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him (Jesus the Son of God); anyone (that’s us) can have a whole and lasting life."
Now that’s the love most of us are in search of.

So here’s how it works.

  • Realize and admit you’re a “sinner” that you’re separated from God because you have missed the mark.
  • Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
  • Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, (and by the way; He died for you, He took your place; because of your sinful life…not because He did anything wrong)
  • And you will be saved.

You see "salvation" is as close as your lips and heart. Some people want to make it a complicated process, but it’s not. If we believe in our heart and say it with our mouth, that Christ is the risen Lord, we will be saved. Most people don’t say things they don’t believe. So what’s standing in your way?

God already knows you and what you’ve done; so why not just confess and admit it and get in the right light with God! God is not looking for perfection; He’s looking for your humble honesty.

He’s waiting for your call. Its toll free, all charges have been pre-paid. All you have to do is call. If you decide to make that call, let us know. We want to share in that joy.
