Worship… a power that can still set the captives free.
Psalms 150:1-6 (NLT) “Praise God in His heavenly dwelling; praise God in His mighty heaven! Praise Him for His mighty works; praise Him
for His unequaled greatness! Praise Him with a blast of the trumpet; praise Him with the lyre and harp! Praise Him with the tambourine and
dancing; praise Him with string instruments and flutes! Praise Him with a crash of cymbals; praise Him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything
that lives sing praises to the Lord.”
Praise has the power to set captives free, if you’re still not sure why not check out Paul and Silas account.
Acts 16:23-26 (NLT) “They were severely beaten, and then thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t
escape. So he took no chances but put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks. Around midnight, Paul and Silas
were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, and the prison was
shaken to its foundations. All the doors flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!”
My friends; that’s a powerful freedom that we could still use in our lives today. Our goal at HLFC is to worship God with everything we
have. Our worship team offers up their instruments in a way that will shake the foundations and help release others from the chains that hold
them back. God created music and still loves when His people praise. Don’t just take my word, come and experience this freedom for yourself.
